Our Story

Since 1997, Charapata Seed Sales has been helping farmers in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, and the surrounding areas find quality agricultural products and dependable support for their farming operations. What began as a part-time seed business grew from a family farming background into a full-time agricultural supply business built around experience, knowledge, and a commitment to serving local customers.

Owner Kris Charapata grew up on his family dairy farm in Beaver, Wisconsin, where he developed an early understanding of agriculture and the needs of farmers. While attending college in 1997, Kris began selling seeds part-time and learned the seed business from his grandfather, Joe Charapata, who founded Charapata Seed Sales. After earning his agriculture business degree and gaining additional experience working with two Peshtigo-area farmers, Kris transitioned into full-time work with Charapata Seed Sales.

Today, Charapata Seed Sales specializes in seed sales and agricultural products designed to support farmers throughout the growing season. The business provides a variety of high-quality seeds along with soybean treatment and soil testing services to help customers make informed decisions and work toward maximizing their yields.

Charapata Seed Sales also serves needs beyond traditional crop production. The business carries premium dog food, deer feed, and poultry feed, providing customers with convenient access to additional products for animals and wildlife. This broader selection reflects the company's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of the agricultural community it serves.

Family remains an important part of the business. Kris's wife, Jenny Charapata, brings a background in Human Resources and handles purchasing, helping support the day-to-day operations behind the scenes.

With decades of experience in the seed industry and deep roots in the agricultural community, Charapata Seed Sales understands that farmers need reliable products and practical support. Whether you're looking for quality seed, soybean treatment, soil testing, or animal and wildlife feed, the team is committed to providing dependable products and customer-focused service.

For agricultural products and services from a business with generations of farming knowledge behind it, contact Charapata Seed Sales in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, to learn how they can support your needs.
